Mamma Clara is a gelato brand inspired by the family matriarch Clara Pavan and a heritage of Italian gelato craftsmanship spanning more than sixty years. Her warmth, dedication and love for family became the emotional foundation of the brand. The story began in 1965, when Clara and her husband Carlo Pavan opened their first ice cream café in Lüchow, Germany. Over generations the family refined their craft, combining traditional Italian techniques with decades of hands-on experience in artisanal gelato making.
Today, Clara’s grandson continues this legacy with a new vision: bringing Mamma Clara beyond the family café and into supermarkets and retail, making authentic Italian gelato accessible to a wider audience while staying true to its origins.
The product is currently in development, with the goal of translating decades of family knowledge into a contemporary gelato brand. Mamma Clara represents real gelato — creamy, dense and intensely flavorful, made with natural ingredients and true craftsmanship.
